October 20th: Homecoming Bake Sale
While the Alumni Panel was going on in Usdan, the Exco members were holding a bake sale outside of Usdan to raise funds for the FASA scholarship – a scholarship awarded to an international student outside of the 11 countries covered by the Freeman Asian Scholarship. This year, besides egg tarts and thai iced tea, Asian cultural items donated by the generous FASA community were sold.
At the end of the day, a total of 418 USD were collected. The FASA exco would like to thank everyone who donated their points and cultural items for making this bake sale a success. Special mention to the class of 2016 freshmen Josephine, Eki and Tua for helping out with selling the egg tarts. You guys are awesome.
Lastly, i would like to end this post with a few words on the FASA scholarship. The FASA scholarship is a testament to FASA’s commitment in continuing the spirit of the Freemans whose generosity and magnanimity had so profoundly changed our lives. So as you contribute to the events of FASA, know that you are also playing a part in contributing to this noble cause. We, exco members certainly couldn’t have done it without you guys. So thank you fellow Freeman Scholars!
